12 Wine of Christmas Wine #6

Advent Reveal #6 is our 2022 Pinot Gris. An alluring combination of tart green apple, honeydew melon, ginger and spice complements the off-dry sweetness beautifully, and linger on the balanced finish. Our Assistant Winemaker Libby thought this would pair perfectly with her family's favourite Aussie Pavlova, a meringue-based dessert originating in Australia (or New Zealand) in the early 20th century, it was named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. Taking the form of a cake-like circular block of baked meringue, pavlova has a crisp crust and soft, light inside.

If you don't already know...Libby came to the Okanagan from Australia after completing her Masters in Oenology and Viticulture at Adelaide University in 2018. Apart from her obvious skills in the cellar, Libby always brings the laughs and the good times, we're super lucky to have such a talent on our winemaking team!
