Wine Shop Host (part-time, seasonal)

We’re looking for energetic wine-lovers to join our wine shop team. You have a keen interest in and at least basic knowledge of wine. You are eager to learn new things, and enjoy making every day fun. You easily transition from educating customers to inviting the sale, and know that it’s all about building a relationship that lasts beyond the wine shop.

We offer a positive and fun work environment with a strong leadership team, task-specific training, wine education, a competitive hourly wage and sales-based bonus. These are part-time seasonal contract positions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Opening and closing the Wine Shop
Greeting all guests and educating them on Stag’s Hollow’s history and wines
Delivering exceptional customer service
Pouring wines and discussing them with the guests
Assisting and driving wine sales and wine club memberships
Maintaining inventory in the Wine Shop
Keeping a clean, tidy tasting area, patio and outdoor areas
Assisting with events
Packing wine shipments

Position Requirements
Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs repeatedly
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Serving It Right Certification (can be easily done online)
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Have the ability to multitask in a busy environment
Previous sales or hospitality experience is an asset
Second language is an asset
Must be eligible to work in Canada

Wine Shop Support (part-time, seasonal)

We are looking for a person with attention to detail and a cheerful attitude to help us with some welcoming duties and behind the scenes with glass washing and polishing, stocking product, packing orders and some general cleaning. This position does not involve service or sale of alcohol, so could be suited to a high school or university student on summer break. This is a part-time position to begin, weekends during the school year moving to full time during the summer.
