Our 4th vintage of an Orange Wine, this is white wine that was made for red wine drinkers.
Hazy golden in color with aromas of bergamot, jasmine, dried apricots, lemon zest and a touch of deli meats. Flavors of lemon curd, ginger, and white pepper spice dominate the palate. The finish is bright, slightly tannic and thought provoking.  Unfined and unfiltered.

Production Notes
Fruit was sourced from the "sustainable practices" Kiln House Vineyard. Hand harvested at the peak of ripeness, the fruit was destemmed and fermented together on skins in an "mélange de terrain" style in stainless steel. After 13 weeks of skin contact fermentation with indigenous yeast, the must was drained and basket pressed into neutral Acacia barrel. The wine slumbered throughout the winter before reawakening in the spring to spontaneously complete malolactic fermentation. It was barrel aged on full lees for a total of 12 months prior to being racked and bottled without any fining or filtration. Our experience has shown us that unfined/unfiltered wines taste fresher and have more purity of fruit than wines that have been fined or filtered. Please decant our wines prior to serving if you wish to avoid any harmless solids that may have precipitated out as it was gracefully aging.
Winemaker Notes
Our 4th vintage of making as close to a 'Natural" wine as possible. Nothing added and nothing taken away, unfined / unfiltered wine and as a result, it may throw a harmless deposit of sediment, just as any premium unfiltered red wine may do (no SO2 has been added to this wine at all). “Orange is the new White”, decant and enjoy!
