This gold medal-winning wine is barrel-fermented and aged six months in new French oak. However, the oak is very subtle, showing only as a touch of hazelnut integrated with herbal aromas and flavours of grapefruit. 90. John Shreiner
Gismondi on Wine - Butter, waxy, passion fruit, grapefruit, kiwi, floral, spicy lees aromas with a bit of nettle. Round, fresh, dry, slightly austere palate with butter, lemon, and mineral, canned grapefruit, passion fruit, and vanilla, waxy, lees flavours. Good solid effort in a somewhat more Euro style to accompany food. 88/100
