Tasting Notes

Vibrant aromas of apricots, orange marmalade and a faint floral anise note. Rich, round mouth feel that is full of the flavors of ripe apricots, spicy ginger and honey suckle. The finish is lengthy with a bright note of citrus acidity. Best serve at cellar temperature (only slightly chilled).

Quotes

John Shreiner-"It has lovely creamy texture with good acidity to give it a crisp finish. The tropical flavours include apricot, peach and tangerine." 90 points.

Julie Pegg, Eat Magazine, "A thing of beauty. Ginger and orange peel add complexity to the wine's not over-the-top fruit and floral flavours."

Daenna Van Mulligen, Wine Diva, Wine Scores "a delicious, crip style of Viognier, so don't expect a tropical fruit bomb oozing mango and spice. Aromas of green figs, peach skin and lemon drops with a sprinkling of spice. It is bright, yet smooth, on the palate with limon and figgy flavours and the spice pops up more in the mouth than on the nose. A long zesty finish with a hint of white pepper lingers on the finish."

Gismondi on Wine - Big honey, spicy, floral, orange, vanilla, waxy, lees aromas. Ripe, round, full, slightly soft palate but elegant with light sausage, honey, grapefruit rind, soapy floral, apricot, vanilla and lees flavours. Finish is very tart and warm but shows good fruit. A little less soak and this wine will sing. 87/100

Gismondi on Wine-25 fabulous summer sippers to savour-Ripe, soft fruit flavours with a taste of honey, grapefruit rind and apricot to subdue the fat in your ham and cheese sandwich.
