Tasting Notes

A Bordeaux-style blend, it has the firm structure of a Cab Sauvignon, the supple softness and fruit of Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc for bouquet. The grapes were harvested at their peak and aged for 20 months in both French and American oak.
Medium dark ruby red / purple in color with dark brickish red edge. Dominant aromas of prune plums mixed with a touch of sage, tobacco leaves and cedar. Plum flavours carry through and combine with spicy French oak notes. Soft tannins and sweet red licorice lingers pleasantly on the finish.

Quotes

John Shreiner-"a hint of mint on the nose. The fruit flavours are lively, with a touch of plum, cherry and spice. The tannins are long and ripe and the finish lingers." 88-90 points

Julie Pegg-Eat Magazine-"smacked of berries and wild herbs. As wine BC wine pundit David Scholefield put it, 'Okanagan Garrigue'."
